WYRA summer rowing camp programs are open to all youth 10-16 years of age.

Many thanks to all for your support this past fall. Special thanks to Diane Clemens and Neila Gerard who did such a wonderful job on our holiday fundraiser as well as all of you for supporting our fundraiser. We’ve received many Holiday cards and e-mails from WYRA alumni and their parents bringing us up to date on their whereabouts and their exploits. Many reminisce about how much fun they had at the Boathouse and how meaningful their days at WYRA were. One Mom sent a very generous donation and told us we’ll never know how important her son’s time at WYRA was…

Rowing is the ultimate team sport. No one is a bench warmer. Everyone rows and everyone races.

Arrival time for varsity rowers has changed to 6:30 am!. All VARSITY Rowers should NOW meet at the WYRA trailer on the Schuylkill River (still planning to be parked by the Canoe Club on Kelly Drive) by 6:30 AM Sunday morning. NOVICE Rowers will need to check with their coach for their arrival time as these rowers will be rowing after 12:00 PM.

Sunday, November 15, 2009 – Parents will be transporting their rowers to this Regatta on Sunday, November 15, 2009. If your rower needs a ride to this Regatta, please have them notify their coach by Friday, November 13, 2009, and a car pool will be arranged. The pickup and drop off site will be at the WYRA boathouse. If you are planning on attending the Braxton and would be willing to transport some WYRA rowers, please contact Laurie Bilafer-Jones, 610-368-0622, LBilafer@aol.com, OR the WYRA boathouse at 302-777-4533 ASAP.
