It’s that time again! Daylight hours are longer; the temps are warming; and the WYRA spring season is just around the corner. Varsity Crew practice starts February 22, 2010, and Novices start February 23, 2010, 3:30-6:00 pm! Registration forms are online for download, and same as last season you can pay your dues online via PayPal or credit card. Dues for all varsity and returning novices are due by February 9. New novice rowers have until March 9. For tentative race schedule, please check the calendar. Save the date – For prospective rowers and their parents, WYRA will be hosting an open house Sat., Feb. 20. 10 am to 12 noon.

Saturday, January 9, 2010 – Varsity girls at 9:00 am (arrive by 8:45 am). Varsity boys at 10:00 am (arrive by 9:45 am). If you can’t make it, please contact your coach and arrange for another time.

Practice for Monday and Tuesday, December 21-22, 2009, is canceled since many schools have been called off due to the snow from this weekend. Also, varsity erg tests have been canceled, as well. Next test scheduled for January 9, 2010.

It would be just my luck that there’s a storm coming our way in time for our first Winter Varsity Erg Activity. We are postponing Saturday’s test. Instead, I’d like for everyone that can make it to please come and test on either Monday or Tuesday between 3:30 and 5:30. If these times don’t work for any reason, please contact John Cohn. I’ll come down at almost any time to get the testing done. If an athlete is unable to get to WYRA before 5:30pm on Tuesday, Dec 22, we will have to reschedule for the next week or after the Holidays.
