Summer Sweep Rowing Camp for Girls (not to be confused with the mandatory, free, pre-season camp)

Coach Mark Muzzi announces a special rowing camp for girls with advanced rowing skills who want competitive opportunities during the summer.

Dates: 6/15/09 through 7/30/09  (3 sessions per week)
Times: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 3:45 pm to 5:30 pm
Fee: $250.00, not including travel or entry fees (To be paid at the first session)

Content:

• Developing and improving rowing technique–videos of rowers
• Racing preparation and racing skills for all elements of a sprint race
• Developing a strong aerobic base; smooth, flawless starts; and a powerful final sprint
• Culminates with two sprint races

Races:

1. Independence Day Regatta – Philadelphia – July 3, 4, and 5th (Depends on what events we would enter as to what day or days)
2. Philadelphia Youth Regatta 7/18/09

This is a new program for WYRA and should be both exciting and challenging with excellent preparation for the coming season.
