Twenty-one national titles were awarded on Saturday, June 27, 2009 on the final day of competition at the 2009 USRowing National Championships on Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J. The 138th running of the regatta featured Olympic medalists, world champions and many of the nation’s top athletes who are in training for the 2009 FISA World Rowing Championships. And WYRA’s alum Suzanne Van Fleet was one of those athletes and a medalist in the Women’s Eight!

From 1990 to 1994, John Williams rowed for the Wilmington Youth Rowing Association. He then rowed for Williams College, where he won the New England Championship in 1996, finished third in the ECAC regatta, competed twice at Henley-on-Thames, as a spare-pair and in the Temple Challenge Cup.
